Students need to start thinking about which animals in their flock they will select to take to the Challenge.

Use the resources provided to discuss with students the key physical traits that make up a productive sheep and what the judges will be looking for at the Challenge.

Students can use these tools to assess each of the animals in their flock.

Invite a sheep classer or show judge to explain the process of identifying competitive sheep in the show ring.
